Project Overview
The project, completed by Allied Construction, was funded by Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), PHFA Penn HOMES, Montgomery County RDA, and Reinvested Developer Fee.
Phase 1 of the redevelopment of the former Montgomery Hospital into Montgomery Park has been completed. The first phase is a four-story, 50-unit new construction building for low-income seniors. Designed by Kramer Marks Architects, the building is designed to meet Passive House Standards and will be managed by Altman Management.
Located between Powell and Locust Street, Montgomery Park will include community rooms and kitchens, social services, on-site parking, laundry, and lounge areas. The community is located near several retail centers, emergency services, post office, and public transportation. The apartments are also located across the street from Einstein’s Nicholas and Athena Karabots Medical Building to benefit the senior residents.
